Made-to-Measure Ties

Made-to-Measure Ties

Essential

The tie, the centrepiece of the suit, must be perfectly fitted. Made-to-measure, it offers the ideal length, hand-finished 7-fold construction, proportionate width and fine fabrics, principally silk. The standard width (8-9cm) varies according to your build. Always the right length, it stops at the belt. Restraint for business, boldness for a wedding.

Tuxedo & Formal

Indispensable with a tuxedo, classic in black silk for formal attire, or coloured and patterned for weddings and creative events. Also elegant with a suit for a creative style. Its size adapts to your neck and the width of the jacket lapels.
Suit Pocket Squares

Suit Pocket Squares

Refinement

The pocket square adds a personal touch of elegance when worn with confidence. White in cotton or linen for summer, coloured or patterned for special occasions. Flat, pointed or puff fold depending on the style. One key rule: never match it exactly to the tie - coordination, not duplication.
Made-to-Measure Braces

Made-to-Measure Braces

Traditional

Braces are the elegant alternative to a belt. They hold the trousers at the waist without constricting and create a flattering vertical line. Button braces are the most elegant, attaching to buttons sewn inside the trouser waistband. Clip braces are practical but less refined. Standard width 35-40mm. Materials: elastic for daily comfort, leather for formal occasions. IMPORTANT: NEVER wear a belt AND braces together. With a tuxedo, braces are recommended as tuxedo trousers have no belt loops.
Cufflinks

Cufflinks

Luxury

Cufflinks are worn with French-cuff shirts. Compulsory with a tuxedo, optional but elegant with a formal suit. Styles: chain-link (classic, flexible), toggle (modern, solid), silk knot (smart casual), snap closure (practical). Metals: silver (versatile), gold (formal, warm), steel (modern, understated). Shapes: round (classic), rectangular (modern), oval (traditional). RULE: restraint and discretion - no ostentatious logos. Cufflinks should be noticed up close, not from a distance. Invest in a classic silver pair that goes with everything.

Foundation

Shoes are the foundation of any elegant outfit. With a formal suit: black Oxfords - the most formal, without excessive decoration. With a business suit: brown Oxfords, black or brown Derbies. With a casual suit: suede loafers, grained leather Derbies. With a tuxedo: black patent Oxfords are compulsory. RULES: black shoes with grey, dark navy, black suits. Brown shoes with beige, brown, medium blue suits. Minimum quality: Goodyear welted leather, leather sole. Care: regular polishing, shoe trees always, rotation (never wear the same shoes two days running).
Full Coordination: Bringing All Your Accessories Together

Full Coordination: Bringing All Your Accessories Together

Mastery

The art of elegance lies in harmony between all accessories worn simultaneously. A magnificent tie loses its effect if it clashes with the pocket square, or if the metals of the watch and cufflinks contradict each other. THE 3-COLOUR RULE: The combined suit, shirt, tie, pocket square and shoes should never exceed three colours. Beyond that, the outfit loses coherence and elegance. METAL CONSISTENCY: Belt buckle, watch, cufflinks and any shoe buckles should share the same metallic tone, silver or gold, without mixing. TONAL GRADATION: The tie should be darker than the shirt and lighter than the suit, creating a natural eye-guiding transition. PATTERNS: Never layer two patterns of the same scale. A fine-striped shirt with a wide-patterned tie works. Two similar stripes create a visual clash.
Belts & Leather Goods

Belts & Leather Goods

Discreet Essential

The belt is the most neglected accessory yet one of the most visible. A quality full-grain leather belt accompanies the suit for years and speaks of an attention to detail that distinguishes the elegant man. LEATHER: Full-grain calfskin for finesse, grained leather for durability. Ideal width 3-3.5cm for a suit, never wider. COLOUR: Must match the shoes. Black belt with black shoes, brown belt with brown shoes. Invest in at least two basic belts. BUCKLE: Understated and proportionate. A classic rectangular or rounded pin buckle. Avoid oversized buckles, prominent logos and excessive ornamentation. Buckle metal coordinated with watch and cufflinks. BRIEFCASE: Quality leather, colour coordinated with shoes. Classic briefcase for corporate, messenger bag for creative contexts. Avoid a backpack with a formal suit.

Golden Rules of Accessories

  1. Metal consistency: belt buckle, watch, cufflinks in the same metal (silver OR gold, no mixing)
  2. Pocket square never matched to the tie - colour coordination is fine, but never the same fabric/pattern
  3. Tie + bow tie: wear only one, never both together
  4. Braces OR belt: never both at the same time - it is one or the other
  5. Less is more: a maximum of 3 colours/patterns across the suit + shirt + tie + pocket square

Questions Fréquentes

What budget should I allow for made-to-measure suit accessories?

The budget depends on the number of pieces and materials chosen: silk, leather, metal or cotton. Coordination can be integrated into a suit project from EUR 990 or a made-to-measure shirt from EUR 290.

When should I choose my suit accessories?

Ideally, select them at the consultation and measurement appointment to align colours, textures and formality level. For a suit produced in 4-5 weeks, accessories are confirmed before or during the fitting.

How does full accessory coordination work?

The process begins with the consultation and measurement appointment, then the selection of fabrics, colours and finishes. The fitting allows you to finalise the pairings before delivery.

How do I choose a tie, pocket square and cufflinks?

The tie structures the silhouette, the pocket square provides a discreet contrast and the cufflinks set the level of formality. Materials such as silk, linen, leather or metal are chosen according to the suit fabric.

Which accessories should I wear for a wedding or a business meeting?

For a wedding, a bow tie, pocket square and cufflinks can create a more ceremonial outfit. For business, a restrained tie, coordinated belt and well-maintained shoes remain the safest choices.
