Lead Times by Product Type

Details

All our made-to-measure products follow the same production lead times: 4 weeks standard (5 for hand-finished). Suits, jackets, shirts, trousers, overcoats.
At Atelier Mesure, all our made-to-measure garments follow the same production lead times, ensuring our standards of quality and consistency.
  • The standard lead time is four weeks, or five weeks for hand-finished pieces.
  • Whether it is a two-piece or three-piece suit, a double-breasted suit, a tuxedo, a shirt, trousers or a made-to-measure overcoat, the production time remains the same. Our controlled process allows us to maintain consistent lead times regardless of garment type.
  • For multiple orders, items are produced simultaneously, with no extension to the delivery lead time.
  • If alterations are needed after the fitting, allow 3 to 6 additional days for them to be carried out with the precision and care that define our savoir-faire. Naturally, for any urgent situation, we can adapt to ensure your garment is ready within the desired timeframe, without ever compromising quality or drape.
  • Whether you order a complete suit or a single shirt, you benefit from the same level of attention, the same production pace, and the same commitment to quality.
Unified 4-week lead time for all products: simplicity and transparency.

Questions Fréquentes

Why 4 weeks when I have seen sites promising 2 weeks?

4 weeks is the realistic lead time for a genuine, quality made-to-measure suit. CAUTION: Some sites promise 2 weeks but practise adjusted off-the-rack (not made-to-measure), or low-cost made-to-order with questionable quality. OUR PROCESS: Pattern adaptation (2-3 days), laser fabric cutting (1 day), assembly according to chosen construction (10-15 days), finishes and quality control (3-5 days). Minimum total: 3 weeks. We prefer to state 4 weeks and deliver at 98% reliability rather than promise 2 weeks and disappoint. EXCEPTION: If you see 2-week delivery elsewhere, verify: truly adapted pattern or just alterations? Laser or manual cutting? Canvas construction or fused? Generally inferior quality.

Can I collect my suit earlier if I am pressed for time?

Only with the express option (3 weeks) subject to availability. REALITY: Suit production requires an incompressible amount of time. Certain stages cannot be accelerated: canvas adhesive drying (24-48 hours), progressive pressing and shaping, rigorous quality control. EXPRESS OPTION: -1 week (3 weeks instead of 4). Price supplement. Only if fabric is in stock and subject to atelier workload. OTHERWISE: If genuinely very urgent (under 3 weeks), we will tell you honestly. We refuse to deliver a suit of inferior quality. Alternative: quality suit hire for the immediate event, then a made-to-measure suit for afterwards. WEDDING ADVICE: For a wedding, begin the process 2-3 months before. Comfortable margin plus zero stress.

Is the lead time the same for a first suit or a reorder?

Yes, 4 weeks in both cases. DIFFERENCE: For a reorder, your measurement profile already exists (retained for 10 years). The first appointment is quicker (no need to retake all measurements if your body has not changed). But production takes the same time: 4 weeks. WHY? Even if the pattern exists, each suit is individually produced: laser cutting of the new fabric, complete assembly, finishes, quality control. These stages are incompressible. ADVANTAGE FOR REGULAR CLIENTS: No time saving on production, but a shorter and smoother first appointment (you know the process, fabric choice is quicker, a relationship of trust is established). Possible priority scheduling during busy periods.

What happens if you exceed the stated lead time?

At Atelier Mesure, the production of a made-to-measure suit requires an incompressible amount of time. Certain stages cannot be accelerated without compromising the perfection of the drape and the durability of the garment. For time-sensitive situations, we offer an express option: your suit can be ready in three weeks instead of four, subject to the fabric being in stock and the current atelier workload. This option carries a price supplement. For a wedding or any important event, we recommend beginning the process two to three months in advance, to allow a comfortable margin and to enjoy the experience of creating your made-to-measure suit without any stress.

Can I track the progress of my suit during production?

Yes, we keep you informed in real time. TRACKING: You are notified of the main stages: order confirmed (Day 0), production started (Day 2-3), fabric cut (Day 5-7), assembly in progress (Day 10-20), finishes (Day 25-27), ready for fitting (Day 28). SMS or email according to your preference indicated at order. ATELIER VISIT: Possible by appointment during production if you wish to see your suit in progress. Call us to arrange. QUESTIONS: Do not hesitate to call or send us an SMS/WhatsApp with questions. We respond promptly. FINAL NOTIFICATION: The day your suit arrives from production, an automatic SMS with a link to our calendar to book your fitting appointment. TRANSPARENCY: We appreciate clients following the process. It is your suit; you are entitled to complete transparency.

Is the lead time shorter for a suit reorder?

The production lead time remains four weeks, whether for a first order or a reorder. The difference lies in the initial appointment: for a reorder, your measurement profile is already on file (retained for 10 years), which makes the first appointment quicker and smoother. If your body type has not changed, there is no need to retake all measurements, and you save time on fabric and option selection. Why does production take the same time? Even if your pattern exists, each suit is individually produced: fabric cutting, complete assembly, finishes and quality control. These stages are incompressible to guarantee the perfect drape and the durability of the garment. For our regular clients, the advantage therefore lies in the fluidity of the process, the relationship of trust established with your advisor, and possibly priority scheduling during the busiest periods.
