To choose between hire and purchase, compare your expected frequency of wear, the level of personalisation you want and your budget. The quote confirms the composition, finishes and price of a made-to-measure tuxedo.

BLACK: The absolute classic. Works with everything, universally accepted for Black Tie. A safe choice, never wrong. MIDNIGHT BLUE: Subtle sophistication. Under artificial light it appears almost black with blue undertones. More visually interesting. Preferred by connoisseurs. OUR ADVICE: If it is your first tuxedo, choose black for maximum versatility. If it is your second tuxedo or you are a confident connoisseur, choose midnight blue for distinction. Both respect Black Tie codes. The price is identical.

The choice between a double-breasted and a single-breasted tuxedo depends on your build, the formality sought and the finishes selected. Your adviser establishes the price for your project when ordering.

A tuxedo can be worn all year round BUT only after 6pm (an absolute rule). SUMMER: Lightweight wool tuxedo (220-260g) or mohair-wool blend (breathable). Avoid heavy wool. Air-conditioned events (opera, indoor galas) = a standard tuxedo is acceptable. WINTER: Standard-weight wool tuxedo (280-320g), comfortable. FABRIC: Discuss with your tailor when ordering - they will adapt the fabric weight to your needs (frequent summer events = lighter wool). The price is identical regardless of the season intended. A well-designed tuxedo works 9 months of the year (March-November) comfortably.
