Each Atelier Mesure garment is made from the measurements, fabric, cut and finishes approved by the customer. This policy explains the rules that apply to returns and alterations for personalised garments and accessories.
1. No return for a change of mind
Under Article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
Once the order has been approved, a change of mind about the fabric, cut, options, finishes or need for the garment does not therefore give rise to a return, exchange or refund.
This rule concerns only returns for convenience. It limits neither the alterations included until delivery described below nor the statutory guarantees that apply in the event of a defect or non-conformity.
2. Alterations included until delivery
The adjustments required for making the garment are included until final delivery. They are identified with your adviser during fittings.
3. Requests after delivery
After final delivery, each new request is examined by the atelier. A quote may be proposed according to the feasibility of the work and must be accepted before it is carried out. Statutory guarantees remain applicable.
4. Defect or non-conformity
If the garment does not correspond to the agreed characteristics or has a manufacturing defect, the customer may request that it be brought into conformity under Article L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.
The consumer may choose between repair and replacement, subject to the exceptions provided by law. A price reduction or termination of the contract remain possible in the cases provided by law. The guarantee against latent defects under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code also remains applicable.
5. Changes to the request
Tell your adviser about any change in preference or body shape during making so that possible adjustments can be considered before final delivery.
6. Request an examination of a garment
To request an examination of a garment, the customer may contact Atelier Mesure or contact the atelier directly, stating the order reference and the difficulty encountered. A photograph may help with the initial examination, but is not a prerequisite for exercising a legal right.
7. Entry into force
This policy specifies that alterations are included until final delivery, without prejudice to statutory guarantees or earlier commitments that are more favourable to the customer.
