A Transparent and Efficient Process
The making of a made-to-measure suit at Atelier Mesure is a process optimised through modern technology. In 4 weeks (5 for hand-finished), we create your suit perfectly fitted to your body type. Our approach combines human expertise and technological precision for an optimal result. Unlike off-the-rack, your suit begins to exist only after your order. Your expert advisor takes your measurements, tries on a sample jacket with you to note the necessary adaptations, then your fabric is laser-cut according to your adapted measurement profile. Appointment 1: Consultation, Measurements & Sample Fitting

A complete first appointment in our Parisian atelier. Your expert advisor guides you through understanding your needs, choosing your fabric and style, then taking your measurements and trying on a sample jacket to define the necessary adaptations.
DURATION: 90-120 minutes in a private, personalised setting. PROCESS: Discussion of your needs (professional use, events, weddings?). Exploration of our fabric library (500+ references). Style selection (two/three-piece, double-breasted/single-breasted, lapels, pockets). Selection of finishes (buttons, lining, monogram). MEASUREMENTS: 25+ precise body measurements taken by your advisor. Each measurement is carefully recorded to guarantee a perfect fit. SAMPLE FITTING: You try on an existing sample jacket in your size. Your advisor notes all adaptations needed for your body type (shoulders, length, waist suppression, etc.). This information will be used to adapt the pattern to your body. CONFIRMATION: Final quote confirmed. Payment at order. Production lead time stated (4 weeks standard, 5 for hand-finished, 3 if express).

Production: 4 Weeks in the Atelier
4 weeks
Your suit enters production. The pattern is adjusted to your body type according to the notes from the first appointment. Your fabric is laser-cut for optimal precision, then assembled according to the chosen construction type.
PATTERN ADAPTATION: Your advisor uses the software to adjust the base pattern according to your 25+ measurements and the notes from the sample fitting. The pattern is personalised for your body type (asymmetries, posture, proportions). LASER CUTTING: Once the pattern is finalised, your fabric is laser-cut with millimetre precision. This technology guarantees a perfect, rapid cut. ASSEMBLY: Your suit is assembled according to the chosen construction type: fused (the fastest), half canvas (balance of quality and value), full canvas (premium finishes), or hand-finished (entirely hand-sewn, 5 weeks). Canvas, sleeves, collar, lining, pockets: each element is assembled with care. FINISHES: Buttonholes, buttons, hems, professional pressing. Complete quality control before notification. LEAD TIME RELIABILITY: 98% of our suits are ready within the stated lead time. You are informed of progress in real time.

On the day your garment is received at the atelier, you receive an SMS with a link to our online calendar. You can book your fitting appointment at your convenience.
AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: As soon as your suit arrives from the production atelier, our system sends you an SMS. No waiting, no forgetting - you are informed immediately. ONLINE CALENDAR: The SMS contains a link to our online calendar. You choose the slot that suits you best to come and try your suit. Complete flexibility. ALTERNATIVE: If you prefer or have particular constraints, you can also call us directly. We always do our utmost to accommodate you. PREPARATION: We recommend coming with the shoes you will wear with your suit (important for the trouser hem if adjustment is needed).

Appointment 2: Fitting & Collection (or Alterations)
30-45 min
The moment of truth: you try on your finished suit. In 60% of cases (3 out of 5 clients), everything is perfect and you leave directly with your suit. If needed, minor alterations are carried out and carried out within a timeframe adjusted to your needs.
COMPLETE FITTING: You put on your complete suit (jacket, trousers, waistcoat if three-piece). Your advisor checks the fit with you: shoulders, sleeve length, waist suppression, trouser length, overall comfort. Movement tests: raise your arms, sit down, walk. The suit must be comfortable in every situation. TWO SCENARIOS: 1) DIRECT COLLECTION (60% of cases): Everything is perfect! You leave with your suit, the protective garment bag, spare buttons and our care guide. 2) ADJUSTMENT ALTERATIONS (if needed): Minor adjustments required (shorten sleeves by 1cm, adjust trouser hem, slightly refine the waist, etc.). Your advisor notes the modifications. Alterations lead time adjusted to your needs (typically 7-10 days). COMMITMENT: One alteration appointment is complimentary at the delivery fitting. This is our Perfect Fit, Guaranteed commitment.

Alterations If Needed: Final Adjustments
7-10 days
If adjustments are needed after the first fitting, our atelier carries out the alterations within 7-10 days, or adjusted to your urgency if needed.
COMMON ALTERATIONS: Shortening or lengthening sleeves by a few centimetres. Adjusting the trouser hem (often linked to shoe choice at the fitting). Slightly refining the waist suppression. Adjusting jacket length. These adjustments are normal and included. LEAD TIME: 7-10 days standard. If you have an urgent need (imminent event), let us know: we will do our utmost to expedite. FINAL FITTING: Once alterations are complete, you return for a quick final fitting (10-15 min) and leave with your suit. INCLUDED: All alterations are included in the initial price. No unwelcome surprises.
